Sorry to share the news that an old friend, Laurence Wright, passed away a couple of weeks ago [June 12, 2019]. His celebration of life will be held in Ridgecrest at Johns Pizza at 11 am on Saturday the 20th of July. Hope to see old friends and classmates there.

Richard Allan Hill, 74, of Dublin, Va., went home to his Lord and Savior Thursday, June 20, 2019.
He was born in Trona, Calif., Aug. 11, 1944, to the late Gillespie Carlisle Hill and Zora Robinette Hill. Rick was raised in Bristol, Tenn., and graduated from East Tennessee State University. He married Linda Fletcher Sept. 2, 1972, and they became members of Draper Valley Baptist Church in September 1977. Rick worked as a schoolteacher at Max Meadows Elementary in Wythe County for 39 years.
Rick is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda Fletcher Hill; his two daughters and sons-in-law, Jennifer and Brian Bolling and Angela and Sam Saadat, and grandchildren, Margaret and Conley Bolling.
A graveside funeral service is being held Sunday, June 23, 4:30 p.m., at Memorial Christian Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Willie Overton and the Rev. Allan Pierce officiating.
The family is receiving friends Sunday, 2-4 p.m., at Seagle Funeral Home, after which a procession will leave for the cemetery. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.seaglefuneralhome.com.
