Evaporative Cooing Tower

In the background is an evaporative cooling tower. The water from this tower was used to cool the condensers in the refrigeration plant and was also sent to other places in plant where equipment need water cooling. This tower was torn down in the 50’s and replaced with one about half the size. The makeup water for this tower came from wells behind the plant on the old golf course. To the right, behind the boxcar are, I believe, small bunkhouses, possibly ten and eleven.
