My mother and I visited Trona when. Was about 4-6? I I’m not sure of my age (I was born in 1937’
I recall watching something floating in the water I waded in the water and climbed on the hard white blocks floating on the water.
It began to move away from shore. I was frightened and hollering for help. Someone either jumped into the water or else it was close enough that the person could pull me to shore.
I recall how the asphalt was soft and very hot
The scent of salt cedar. I liked it
The weather was very hot, hot.
