I moved in '69 and would have graduated from the class of 1976. I have very fond memories of my days in Trona. Cherry cokes at the Pioneer Point burger joint. Catching lizards and turtles in the desert. Playing marbles on the sant till late at night. I have made it a point to pass through Trona a few times since leaving. It seems so much smaller than I remember it. Anyway, I enjoyed looking at the Trona webpage, and would enjoy hearing from any old, long lost friends. Nick.

I'am my middle 60's,retired and live alone.I just don't like cold weather, I known Trona temp.reaches the low 100's in the summer months, I have yet to find out, how cool it gets in the winter months. Peters, grandmother Maud and my dad, Donald Taylor Peters and my mom Ellen Ronsgaard Peters all worked and lived in Trona. My grandfather was a carpenter, my dad an electrician, and my mom was a nurse. I believe they worked there around the late 1920's thru the early 40's. Somehow I remember the chemical plant was named Phelps-Dodge, at the time? Any old-timers out there that may have know them or the plant at that time...or any newtimers that know any old timers from that vintage that they can ask?Thanks...Michael J. Peters

Went all through school and graduated in 1973. I worked for Kerr-McGee Chemical Company, Harris Chemical Company, North American Chemical Company, IMC Chemical Company for 17 and 1/2 years. You can take the girl out of Trona, but you will never take Trona out of the girl. I Love Trona, for all its peacefulness, street football & baseball, tag, roller skating at the school, swimming until everyone thought I would turn into a fish, beautiful sunrises, and sunsets, wind storms, heat, cold, and little rain. And NO Bloomin Signals or freeways! So I think I will just stay here forever!

Great times in Trona with many precious memories...Brother Aaron; sisters Cassie and Linda. Brother Larry died in 1974.
