Trona Mineral Data is a web page that provides the chemical formula of trona and information about it's characteristics.

Potash is another chemical that was once obtained from Searles Lake North American Chemical shut down the potash plant in Trona because it's potash plant in Utah was so much more efficient. CEH has a marketing report available that mentions the Trona process for manufacturing potassium chloride.

I am very proud to have a link from  Hampden-Sydney College Department of Chemistry, Chemistry 103 page on Potash. If you want to learn a little about Chemistry in a very interesting way this is worth checking out.

Isonex Inc. is a company that makes it's living from trona and it's derivatives. If you are interested in trona be sure to visit their site for lots of interesting information.

USGS Minerals Information Soda Ash web page has several articles of information about soda ash available.

A cool picture of a trona mine in Wyoming can be found at http://www.wma-minelife.com/trona/TronaPage/tronainf.htm
